Sandown Town Council has opened a new community survey to help shape the future redevelopment of the land in front of the Ocean Hotel, adjacent to the Esplanade.
The site offers a major opportunity to create a welcoming and accessible public space, and the Council is asking residents, visitors, and local groups to share their priorities for how it should be used.
The survey builds on ideas gathered at the first public consultation event, where residents suggested a wide range of possibilities for improving the area. Participants can now vote for the options they support and put forward new ideas of their own.
A spokesperson for Sandown Town Council said: “We want this space to reflect what matters most to the community. Every response will help guide the next stage of planning.”
