Exciting news! We’ve officially entered the race to become the UK Town of Culture 2028!
To celebrate our town’s incredible culture, heritage, and community spirit, we’ve submitted a digital postcard to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).

You can now explore our entry, alongside submissions from towns across the country, on the official UK Town of Culture Digital Map:
Don’t forget to follow our social media channels on Thursday 2 July as we join the nationwide celebration and showcase what makes our town so special. Be sure to join the conversation using #UKTownofCulture!
Let’s put our town on the map and celebrate everything that makes it unique!
