Sandown Town Council Launches New Online Bookings Page

Sandown Town Council has launched a new online bookings page designed to make hiring the Broadway Centre, simpler, and more accessible for residents, groups, and organisations across the town.

The new platform, available at https://www.sandowntowncouncil.gov.uk/the-broadway-centre/ , allows users to browse available spaces, check prices, view room details, and submit booking enquiries in just a few clicks.

The system provides a clear, user‑friendly way to explore the Centres facilities — including the Broadway Centre’s Main Hall and meeting rooms — all of which play a vital role in supporting local activities and events.

Upcoming accessibility expansion

In the coming months, the system will be expanded to include online booking for the Changing Places facility and beach wheelchairs, strengthening Sandown Town Council’s commitment to inclusive access for residents and visitors with additional mobility needs.

This development will make it easier for families, carers, and individuals to plan their visits with confidence, ensuring that Sandown’s seafront and community spaces remain welcoming and accessible to all.

“We’re delighted to introduce this improved online service,” said Mayor Alex Lightfoot. “This new system makes it easier than ever for residents, clubs, and event organisers to find the right space and make a booking at a time that suits them.”

Key features of the new bookings page include:

  • Easy online enquiries available 24/7
  • Clear room descriptions, capacities, and hourly rates
  • Mobile‑friendly design for quick access on any device
  • Flexible hourly booking options to suit a wide range of activities
  • Instant visibility of available spaces across the Broadway Centre

The launch reflects Sandown Town Council’s ongoing commitment to improving accessibility, modernising services, and supporting activities that will help make Sandown a thriving and connected community.
