Broadway Centre launches Multiple Sclerosis awareness display for local community
A Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Display has been available in the foyer of The Broadway Centre, offering clear, accessible information for people living with MS, their families, carers, and visitors attending the MS clinics delivered at the Broadway Centre by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Sandown Town Council worked in partnership with the Isle of Wight MS Society and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust MS Service to provide trusted information, helping residents and visitors access local support, specialist services and community resources.
Cassie Bailey, MS Specialist Nurse with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, said: “This display helps people understand what support is available and encourages early conversations about symptoms and wellbeing. It’s a valuable resource for anyone affected by MS and highlights the range of support available across the Isle of Wight.”
The display included information on:
- Support and services provided by the Isle of Wight MS Society.
- The MS Specialist Nursing Service provided by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, including how to access specialist advice and one-to-one appointments.
- Regular community groups and activities held at The Broadway Centre, including Keep Active sessions and the Live Well Early Help drop-in café, all of which provide a welcoming space for people affected by MS.
This initiative forms part of the Broadway Centre’s ongoing commitment to raising awareness, promoting wellbeing, and ensuring residents have access to reliable information and support close to home.
Paul Brading, Chairman of Lake Parish Council, said: “Raising awareness of MS and the support available locally is so important. We’re delighted to work with The Broadway Centre, the Isle of Wight MS Society and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to ensure residents know where to turn for information, community and practical support.”

The display was installed ahead of the regular MS clinic delivered by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust at The Broadway Centre on 24 June 2026, ensuring patients and visitors could access the information from the day of the clinic.
