About the Broadway Centre

The Broadway Centre is a multi-use community facility designed to support a wide range of local activities. The centre was rebuilt in 2018 and offers a range of rooms for hire.

Sandown Town Council's offices, which are based at the centre, are open between 9am and 12 noon, Monday through Friday.

Please contact the Clerk via clerks@sandowntowncouncil.gov.uk if you would like to book the hall or make an appointment with the town council office. If attending an event, class or health /wellbeing appointment please contact the organiser directly.

By Train:

The centre is 0.4 miles or approximately 10 mins walk from Sandown Station.

By Bus:

The nearest bus stop is at the heights and is just a few minutes from the centre. Routes 2, 3 and 8 serve the stop.

Route 24, serves the Beachfield Road stop which is just 5 minutes walk away.

Rooms for Hire

Main Hall

The hall accommodates 150 people standing and 100 people seated. There is an integrated hearing loop and a serving hatch from the kitchen. Tables and Chairs are available to hirers, the cost of which is included in the hire charge:

Monday to Saturday

9:00 am until 11:00 pm

Please note music played in the hall must finish by 10.30pm.

Sunday

9:00 am until 5:00 pm

Charges (inclusive of VAT):

£20 per hour weekdays

£22 per hour evenings

£25 per hour weekends.

Weekends must be for a minimum booking of 3 hours.

Main Meeting Room

The main meeting room has a capacity of 24 people.

Charges:

Monday to Friday

£15 per hour inclusive of VAT.

(Minimum booking of 2 hours after 5:00 pm)

Rooms 3 and 4

Rooms 3 and 4 are small meeting rooms which can accommodate a maximum of 3 people. The rooms have an en-suite WC making them ideal for private appointments.

Please note there is no window in these rooms.

£8 per hour inclusive of VAT.
